My Journey in the Beauty Industry
My love for the beauty industry began early, always being the go-to person for hair and makeup among friends and family. After several attempts at traditional schooling, I decided to pursue my true passion. In January 2014, I enrolled in an Advanced Esthetics course at the Universal Spa Training Academy in Downers Grove, IL, with the goal of becoming a makeup artist.
During my studies, I also worked part-time at Ulta and experienced the joys and challenges of pregnancy. This period was incredibly busy but rewarding, as I rubbed shoulders with some of the big names in the makeup world and learned invaluable techniques. Although I initially aimed for a career in makeup artistry, I discovered a deeper passion for skincare, waxing, body treatments, laser treatments, and makeup artistry.
Professional Growth and Experience
I began my professional journey at European Wax Center, perfecting my skills in full-body waxing. Seeking a balanced pace, my husband and I moved to Olympia, WA, in 2017. Here, I built my career at Spruce Skin and Wax Shoppe, where I refined my love for skincare solutions and served as a trainer, guiding new estheticians at one of Olympia's leading spas. After seven fulfilling years, I felt ready to embark on my own path.
A Glimpse Into My Life
I’m a proud mother to two wonderful boys and married my high school love in 2010. My husband served in the Marine Corps, which opened up opportunities for us to live on the East Coast and explore different parts of the country. That experience fueled our love for travel and the desire to see even more of what this beautiful country has to offer.
I’m also a first-generation Mexican-American, and my journey is deeply rooted in the courageous decision my family made to move to a new country in search of better opportunities. I am forever grateful to my mother, who selflessly started anew in a foreign land and worked tirelessly to give us everything we had. Her strength and sacrifice are a constant source of inspiration for me, and they drive me to work hard every day, both in my personal life and as a business owner.
Hablo español, and I cherish the connections I build with clients who share my language and culture.
My Passions
Outside of work, I indulge in a variety of hobbies such as gardening, nurturing house plants, hiking, cooking, and practicing yoga. If I had to pick a favorite color it would be green, and I find joy in listening to Spanish music, true crime podcasts, and educational shows. While my own self-care days are few and far in between, I enjoy spa days with friends. I also enjoy doing my own nails at home, which gives me a chance to unwind with a good show after my kids are asleep. My newest passion, however, is growing my business and forging meaningful connections. Creating a safe, environmentally friendly and welcoming space for all my clients is at the heart of what I do.
