Giving Back to Our Planet: Volunteering & Beauty Empties at Wildflower Estética

March 16, 2026

At Wildflower Estética, sustainability isn’t a trend — it’s part of who we are. From the moment you walk into the studio, you’re stepping into a space that’s intentionally designed to reduce waste, honor the earth, and care for our community. I’m proud to share that Wildflower now recovers 95% of the waste we create, from beauty packaging to single‑use items used during treatments.

But Earth Month is the perfect reminder that caring for our planet doesn’t stop at the studio door. This year, I’m expanding our sustainability efforts in a way that brings us together — through volunteering and community action.

🌎 Why Volunteering Matters

Olympia is home to some of the most beautiful parks, trails, and green spaces in the Pacific Northwest. These spaces give us so much — fresh air, quiet moments, places to gather with our families, and room to breathe.

Volunteering with Olympia’s Park Stewardship Program is a simple, meaningful way to give back. A few hours of picking up litter or removing invasive plants can make a huge difference in the health of our local ecosystem.

And honestly? It just feels good.

There’s something grounding about working with your hands, connecting with neighbors, and seeing the impact you’ve made right in front of you.

🌱 Introducing: Wildflower Community Clean‑Up Days

This Earth Month, I’m hosting our first-ever Wildflower Community Clean‑Up Day, and I’d love for you to join me. My hope is that this becomes a regular tradition — a way for us to step outside the treatment room and care for our community together.

Whether you come solo, bring a friend, or make it a family outing, you’re welcome. Everyone is.

♻️ The Beauty Empties Recycling Program

Inside the studio, sustainability shows up in a different way — through our Beauty Empties Recycling Program.

Most beauty packaging isn’t accepted in curbside recycling, which means it often ends up in landfills. At Wildflower, I sort and separate each component so it can be properly recycled through specialized programs.

You can drop off items like:

  • Skincare bottles + jars
  • Serum droppers
  • Toner bottles
  • Makeup compacts
  • Mascara tubes
  • Lipstick + gloss containers
  • Clean pumps + caps
  • Any brand, any product — as long as it’s empty.

Every time you bring in your empties, you’re helping reduce waste and supporting a more sustainable beauty industry.

🌼 Small Actions, Big Impact

Whether you’re volunteering in a local park or dropping off your beauty empties at the studio, your actions matter. Sustainability isn’t about perfection — it’s about showing up, doing what you can, and choosing to care.

I’m grateful to be part of a community that believes in that kind of care. Thank you for helping Wildflower make a difference, inside and outside the studio.

If you’d like to join our next clean‑up day, keep an eye on your inbox — or just reach out and say you’re in. I’d love to have you there.

With gratitude,

Bridget
